Nice! You do a really nice job of blending and shading within the shadows, especially in the hair; it gives it sort of an advanced cell shading look, which I quite like. All the little details and wires and buckles etc on her outfit look really well done. I always have a hard time doing little things that thin without having the color bleed everywhere. I like the metal reflection on her rocket-pack thing as well, especially the shine and shadow contrast around the edge.
As for the characters, I like how you've given them for the most part contrasting accents. The little details like the red edges to his eyes contrasting her blue visor are really striking. Also, contrasting expressions! Also, scary pointy nails! Even the little round energy ball things they're both using! Very nice.
That said, the only things I'd suggest would be for her pose to have the other knee raised so she's more directly mirroring his, just so the composition doesn't seem to tip so much to the right. Also, color-theory wise, I noticed that you didn't repeat the bright red of the (adorable) hair ribbons or the yellow of the fire anywhere; it seems like the red could be repeated somewhere on his side of the picture (earrings or cufflinks or cravat pin or something.) I don't know about the yellow; maybe it could be switched with blue to more directly compliment the rest of her outfit? Like an oxygen or butane flame maybe.
Anyway. I know you didn't request critique, so I'll get out of your hair. Overall, it's lovely and I really like it!
